Criteria for CSI Swimmer of the Year and Adapted Swimmer of the Year
Congratulations once again to Annam Olasewere - CPAC and Kalen Anbar - NCY for being awarded the 2023 CT Swimmers of the Year Award!!!
Effective with the July 16, 2020, CSI Board of Directors meeting the CSI Swimmer of the Year will be awarded to a Female Swimmer of the Year and to a Male Swimmer of the Year.
- The swimmer must be a member of Connecticut Swimming from the previous Short course and Long Course seasons.
- The swimmer must have swum in 4 CSI sanctioned and regularly scheduled meets during the combined Short and Long Course seasons."
- The highest level of achievement during the past SC/LC seasons from the
following levels:- World Record established in an individual event
- American Record established in an individual event
- World or American record in a relay
- In an Olympic year, qualifier for Olympic trials
- Highest Medalist
- Total medals
- Total points
- Highest place
- Number of events
- Qualifier in an individual or relay event at that year’s highest International competition, determined by USA swimming.
