Coaches and Club Contacts: As you know, at the House of Delegates meeting in September, delegates voted to change the format of long course Regional Championships. Our committees have been working together diligently to find an appropriate format, time in the schedule for two meets, and officials coverage in order to serve our swimmers. While a lot of work has been done, there are still some issues that need to be addressed and we feel it is important to present the final format to the delegation as a whole. Therefore, we will be continuing to work on the long course Regional Championships and present the final format at the May House of Delegates meeting for approval by the whole delegation. If approved, the changes will be implemented during the 2019 long course season.
For the upcoming 2018 long course season, Regional Championships will be run as it has in the past.
Here are the Championship Dates for the 2018 LC Season:
July 6-8, 2018: Regional Championships
July 12-15, 2018: Senior Championships (Wesleyan University)
July 26-29, 2018: Age Group Championships (Wesleyan University)
Locations for Regionals to be announced after the bidding process.
