FAST Query & General Info
Times & Membership Database
Dale Maine, Developer
In December of 2003, Connecticut Swimming (CSI) launched Connecticut FAST a MS .Net application over a SQL Server database hosting all CSI meet results since 1998, as well as club, swimmer, official, and coach information. As of August 2021, FAST holds approximately 4,250 meets and over 5.6 million individual swims. Coaches, swimmers, and parents may query best times, track athlete's progress for each event, championship meet qualification, registration, CSI records, meets entered, Top 25 times, etc. Championship meet definitions are imported and clubs can see who qualifies to swim what events and the system automates the entry process. The process of transferring a swimmer's history from team to team is automated by allowing the new team to pull an export of the swimmer's history to load into team management software. Clubs may archive files, submit meet bids, enter championship meets, submit membership files, view membership status, make online payments, submit reports, plus more. There are approximately 150 forms to manage banquet reservations, transfers, applications, Safe Sport, etc., returning over 36,000 forms to date. Parents, athletes, and nonathletes may create a FAST My Account to securely manage online applications for various CSI programs and events, cast electronic ballots, view credentials, view registration/membership info, submit an address change, plus more. Queries include: Record Times, Best Times, Top Times, Meets Entered, Championship Qualification, Teams, Officials, Coach Credentials, Swimmer Registration, and Meet Membership Verification.
