Time Standards

Coaches:

Zones coaches will be chosen by the Age Group Committee.  All prospective coaches must be a current USA and CT registered coach in good standing and fill out an application.  

• All expenses (except souviners) paid by CT Swim
• Mileage to practices and meet if driving your own vehicle
• Assistant Coaches will receive a $600 stipend and Head Coaches will receive $1000 stipend.

Swimmers:

IMPORTANT 2022 MEET INFORMATION
Swimmers will represent CT Swimming like in past years.  For the 2022 Meet swimmers will need to travel with their parents/guardians to the meet.  CT Swimming will NOT offer a Team travel trip for 2022.  There will be no addition CT Swim imposed criteria to travel other than preregistering and making a cut for the meet.  You have one cut and want to go, you are more than welcome to.  CT Swimming will provide coaches for each session of the meet and a block of hotels rooms is set aside at the hotel listed below.  Athletes can order Zone gear just like in prior years.

• All swimmers MUST pre-register - see registration below
• Swim in one CT USA Sanctioned meet since 9/1/22
• Make one cut
• All participants MUST purchase Zone gear
• First time attendees MUST purchase Team backpack

  • July 31 @ Youth Developmental Center, Regional YMCA, Brookfield, 7:30-9am.  
• Criteria to enter
  
  • There are no added CT Swim restrictions.  Swimmers MUST preregister and make a cut for the meet and swimmers can travel to the meet.  
  • Eligibility of athletes with qualifying times for higher level meets (this is from the Eastern Zone)
    • Athletes who have competed in an Individual Event at the USA Swimming National
      Championships, the USA Swimming Spring Championships, US Open, the USA
      Swimming Junior Championships or a USA Swimming Trials Class meet are not eligible
      to enter and compete at an EZ AG Championship meet.
    • Athletes 13 years of age and over who have achieved a qualifying time in an individual
      event for any of the above meets prior to the entry deadline for the EZ meet, may not
      enter and compete in an EZ AG Championship meet.
    • Athletes 12 years of age or younger who have achieved a qualifying time in an individual
      event for any of the above meets but have not competed in that event at the

    • Times may be achieved from any USA Swimming sanctioned or approved meet including time trials. The time must be proven through CSI FAST database or USA Swimming SWIMS database. Please note most YMCA meets are not USA Swimming approved meets.
    • Times may include official lead-off splits from individual or relay times. The split must be recorded in the official results or by certification of time attested by the Meet Referee or designee. In the case of the latter, the request for attestation must be in advance of swimming the event.

Registration Procedure

• Athletes wishing to be considered for the LC Zone Team MUST Preregister before the deadline of July 19, 2022 at 11:59p.
• All selected swimmers MUST PAY the NON-REFUNDABLE FEE ($100) IN FULL before 7:00p, Monday, July 25th.  A final application will be emailed to selected athletes.
