2021 LC Championship Meets
2021 Long Course Season Championship Meets
Definition: LC Season is a defined time period, generally held during the spring and summer, where meets of any course (LCM, SCM, and SCY) are sanctioned. Traditionally the LC Season dates have been April through August. For LC Season 2021, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the dates will be May 24 through August 31, 2021.
Championship Meets:
- Senior Championship July 8-11, 2021, at Cheshire Community Pool. Hosted by Cheshire Sea Dogs.
- Regional Championship July 16-18, 2021, at various locations.
- Age Group Championship 11/12 and 13/14 July 22-25, 2021 at Cheshire Community Pool. Hosted by Connecticut Swimming.
- Age Group Championship 10/Under , Schedule Change: July 31 – August 1, 2021 at Shelton Community Center Pool. Hosted by Rapids Swim Team.

Corrections are due, via email to office@ctswim.org, by tomorrow noon, Thursday, July 29.
Late Qualifiers are due, via FAST Online Entries, by tomorrow noon, Thursday, July 29.
Schedule: Saturday/Sunday (NO Friday). July 31-Aug 1. Timing is TBD.
Order of Events: Revised on 07.21.21. The FAST qualification file has been updated.
Meet Eligibility: Same as 11-14 Age Group Championship.
Event Limits: No more than 4 Individual Events per day & 2 Relays per day. For a maximum of 6 Total Individual Events and 4 Relays.
Venue has changed to the Shelton Community Center.
The meet participation requirement is waived.
Regional Championships
July 16-18, 2021 at various locations @ multiple locations.
- LEHY - Saturday and Sunday only;
- WYW - Friday (tentative), Saturday and Sunday;
- RYWC - Friday (tentative), Saturday and Sunday.
- Friday sessions will be consolidated at one location, to be determined, should entries so warrant;
- 10 & under swimmers will be allowed to swim Regionals even if they have an Age Group cut, allowing them a chance to swim in a long course meet.

- WYW - Friday Evening, Saturday and Sunday (Pool Assignments)

11/14 LC Age Group Championship Thursday scratches are due today at 3:30 pm. NO positive check-in. It's scratch or swim.
11/14 LC Age Group Championship general warm-ups are open. Specifics about one-way sprints will be in the coach packets.
Spectator Policy as of July 15, 2021. (Subject to change at any time.) Spectators will be allowed ONLY at the turn-end of the pool behind the moveable bulkhead. The back gate will be open for spectators to enter/exit the facility grounds, without the need to enter through the Main Lobby entrance. There will be designated space available for all spectators outside the facility, which will be sectioned off to separate the swimmers/teams from spectators. Spectators will not be permitted to cross the designated separation line. It is encouraged for spectators to come in, watch their swimmers compete, and then go back outside to allow others to do the same. Tents and chairs will not be available for use, all spectators should bring their own. Any tent/chair should be broken down and taken with you in between sessions.
Parking: All Swimmers and Essential Meet Staff will be required to park in the Cheshire Community Pool Parking Lot which is located immediately adjacent to the facility. DO NOT park in the Traffic Circle, behind the Pavilion, or in the Athletic Fields Lot. Parking Map Legend: Blue = Drop Off; Green = Parking:; Red = Spectators; Yellow = Team Areas Only
Inclement Weather: This is an outdoor venue, and therefore subject to delay or cancellation due to inclement weather. In the event of weather delays, events may be cut. Please review CSI's Inclement Weather Policy.
- Schedule Change: For the MORNING sessions on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the warm-up time has changed to 7 AM (had been 6 AM) and the start time has changed to 8:30 AM (had been 7:30 AM). The Evening Session times have NOT changed.

- Late Qualifiers are due 5 PM on Monday July 19 by using FAST Online Entries. In addition to individual late initial qualifying swimmers, use FAST to enter additional relays and relay-only athletes.
- Thursday Evening Scratches: Scratches are required by 3:30 PM. on Thursday, July 22, 2021, via email to Dave Modzelewski for the 800M freestyle events scheduled to be conducted that day. Any swimmer who does not scratch the event by the scratch deadline on Thursday will be seeded at “NT."

- CSI clubs will enter using Connecticut FAST (Instructions) and enter an adapted athlete by contacting office@ctswim.org. CSI-member unattached athletes, not affiliated with a CSI club, should email an entry file (*.sd3 or *.cl2) and proof of time to office@ctswim.org.
- Payment: Payment will be collected when entry is finalized through FAST Online Entries. Clubs should be prepared to pay upon submittal of entry either with a credit card or check.
