Request for Athlete Travel Assistance

In order to assist in the development of senior swimmers in the State of Connecticut, Connecticut Swimming, Inc. (CSI) offers some financial assistance for those swimmers currently registered in CT competing in one or more individual events at Sectionals, USA Swimming Junior National, USA Swimming U.S. Open Championships, USA Swimming National Championships, LC World Championship Trials, US Paralympic National Championships. Assistance is also available to those swimmers attending various national open water championships and swimmers chosen to attend national select camps.  Receipts are required except for Sectionals.

NOTE: Athletes competing in 1 or more individual event (excluding time trials and bonus events) may apply.

Swimmers must be registered with Connecticut Swimming, Inc. for at least two (2) years and hold a current Connecticut membership card.  Swimmers registered less than two years, but meeting the following participation requirement, may receive prorated assistance.  College swimmers from out-of-state that represent a CSI team in summer will be eligible for 50% funding their first summer and full funding their second summer. Active collegiate swimmers will not be eligible for funding during the collegiate year.

The total of any monies received from a national sponsor and Connecticut Swimming shall not exceed the cost of the trip. The total of any monies received from a national sponsor and Connecticut Swimming shall not exceed the cost of the trip.  Athletes funded for more than trip expenses risk amateur status and NCAA eligibility. 

In addition to submitting a request online, a copy of receipts must be submitted for travel expenses for all meets except Sectionals.

If confirmation is desired, please include a SASE envelope or post card. Please do not send receipts for Sectionals.

Checks will be sent to athletes in late October after approval from the CSI Senior Committee and Board of Directors.
