POLICY STATEMENT ON INTEGRITY
(Adopted January 25, 1994)

 

Any Club that enters an unregistered athlete, intentionally (and in the case of times, flagrantly) falsifies an entry in any way, permits an unregistered coach or official to represent them in any CSI sanctioned or approved meet or otherwise engages (through its officers, members, officials, coaches, swimmers or parents) in conduct likely to bring USA Swimming, CSI or the sport of swimming into disrepute is guilty of an offense and shall be fined the sum $100 per offense, such fine payable to CSI. No further entries in, nor applications for sponsorship of any, CSI approved, sanctioned or sponsored event will be accepted from that Club until the fine has been paid. In the event of repeat offenses, additional penalties may be imposed by the Review Section as it deems appropriate.

 

The foregoing policies are in addition to those specified by USA Swimming and those detailed in the meet announcements. Organizations granted a sanction or approval by Connecticut Swimming must abide by these policies. Failure to comply with these policies will be taken into account in evaluating future requests for sanctions, sponsorships and approvals.

 

A determination that a Club has violated these policies may be made by the Meet Director or the Meet Referee at which the offense occurred or by the Program Operations Chairman and the specified fine shall be imposed by the Program Operations Chairman. Such determination and imposition shall be subject to appeal to the CSI Review Section.
