MEET CLASSIFICATION: This meet is open to all USA Swimming athletes and clubs.
MEET FORMAT: The meet will be swum as timed-finals. All events are mixed, male and female seeded together. 12/Unders are encouraged to compete. The 400 IM and the 500 Freestyle events will be limited to a maximum of 48 competitors. After scratches, the fastest 24 female entrants and the fastest 24 male entrants are guaranteed to swim. The 1650 Freestyle event will be limited to a maximum of 36 competitors. After scratches, the fastest 18 female entrants and the fastest 18 male entrants are guaranteed to swim. The 400 IM, 500 Freestyle, and the 1650 will be swum fastest to slowest. Swimmers bumped from any of these events will be afforded the option of entering a substitute event that specific day. Scratches for the 1650 Freestyle (session 4) are due at the session 3 scratch deadline.
SCRATCH PROCEDURES: Scratches are due 30 minutes prior to the start of each session. Teams not submitting scratches by 25 minutes prior to the start of any session will have all their entries scratched by the meet director for that session. While meet management will make every effort to communicate this deadline to all teams at the meet, meet management bears no responsibility for any team that misses this deadline.
FACILITY: The Albertus Magnus Pool is a 6 – lane 25 yard pool. The lighting has been renovated and the facility is well lit. Deck space, as well as spectator seating is ample for a session subscription of 4 hours. Colorado 6 timing system will be used. Touch pads and display will also be used.
DISABLED ACCESS: Parking, facility entrances, pool, and spectator areas are all handicapped accessible. Please contact the meet director for more information and special arrangements.

WARM-UPS: CT Swimming Warm-Up Procedures will be in effect. .
ELIGIBILITY: All athletes must be current athlete members of USA Swimming or CT Swimming. Age on the first day of the meet shall determine the swimmer’s age and age group for the meet. List any restrictions, such as age, etc. Any swimmer who is entered and is unregistered, will be scratched from the meet until registration is completed. All coaches must present a valid USA Swimming coach card to the Meet Director prior to the commencement of any sanctioned swim meet, and must have this card with them while on deck.
ADAPTED SWIMMING: Any current athlete members of (select one) USA Swimming or CT Swimming with a disability as defined by USA Swimming Rules and Regulations may enter this meet. If modifications to USA Swimming rules are necessary then the coach or athlete must notify the meet referee of any disability prior to competition.
EVENT INFORMATION: All events will be seeded strictly by time. Events will not be sorted by age or gender.
ENTRY LIMITATIONS: Swimmers may compete in a maximum of 5 events per session.
ENTRY TIMES: Submit entry times in SCY. No Times are discouraged.
DEADLINES: Entry deadline is Thursday, February 5, 2009. Entries will be accepted in the order they are received until the meet fills. Emailed entries are encouraged and preferred. Mail hardcopy and payment to the entry chairperson: Dave Reilly, 57 Union Street, Guilford, CT 06437. All entries must be typed or printed legibly, and must use full names and registration numbers from USA Swimming registration. Teams will be notified within 24 hours of receipt of the entry regarding the acceptance status of the entry. Notification will be made by email.
ELECTRONIC ENTRIES: Electronic entries (such as from Hy-Tek Team Manager or other team management software) that are in CL2 or SD3/SDIF format may be emailed as an attachment to the entry chair at dmr123@sbcglobal.net. Entries are accepted in the order they are received until the meet fills. Payment is expected no later than 5 working days after notification (email) that the entry has been accepted.
ENTRY FEES: Electronic entries: $4.25 for all individual events except the 1650 Freestyle - $8.00. No refunds will be given for entries that are accepted, or for entries that are rejected due to improper entry
PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS: Please make checks payable to Woodbridge Aquatic Club and mail to: Dave Reilly, 57 Union Street, Guilford, CT 06437. Payment must be received no later than 5 working days after notification (email) that the entry has been accepted.
CUT PROTOCOL for INVITATIONALS: Woodbridge Aquatic Club will limit Friday’s evening session to 3 hours. Sessions 3 and 5 will be limited to no more than 4 hours. Please refer to the Meet Format section of this document for information regarding limitations in the other sessions.
RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE CHANGES: The meet referee reserves the right to make any adjustments to the provisions of the meet announcement deemed necessary to ensure the fair and efficient running of the meet, with prior approval from Program Operations. Clubs will be notified of cuts no later than Monday before the meet.
SAFETY:
RULES: Current USA Swimming rules will govern all competition.
TIME TRIALS: Time trials will be offered at the discretion of the meet referee if time allows. Time trials are $5.00. Time trial events count toward the total number of event limitations per session.
TIMERS, OFFICIALS OR WORK ASSIGNMENTS: Swimmers competing in the 500 Free and/or the 1650 must provide their own timer and counter. Swimmers competing in the 400 IM must provide their own timer. Notification of team timing assignments will be emailed the Wednesday before the meet.
DECK ACCESS: Only athletes, coaches, officials, and official meet staff actively participating in the meet are permitted on the pool deck.
SCORING: The meet will not be scored.

PARKING: Ample parking is available in the facility parking lot. Street parking is also available.
DIRECTIONS: Albertus Magnus College is located at 700 Prospect Street, New Haven, CT. The parking lot entrance to the Athletic Complex is located off Huntington Street at the corner of Huntington and Winchester Ave. From east or west of New Haven: I-95 to I-91 North. Take Exit 3 (Trumbull Street). Go straight on Trumbull to Whitney Ave. Turn right on Whitney Ave. Turn left on Huntington Street. Go up and then down the hill on Huntington, crossing Prospect Street at the top of the hill. The parking lot is on the right at the bottom of the hill. From north of New Haven, I-91 Southbound: Take exit 6, Willow Street. Turn right onto Willow Street. Turn right onto Whitney Ave. Turn left on Huntington Street. Go up and then down the hill on Huntington, crossing Prospect Street at the top of the hill. The parking lot is on the right at the bottom of the hill. From north of New Haven, Wilbur Cross Parkway, Southbound: Exit 61 (Whitney Ave.) Go south towards New Haven, about 4 miles to Huntington Street. Turn right on Huntington. Go up and down the hill on Huntington, crossing Prospect Street at the top of the hill. The parking lot is on the right at the bottom of the hill.
