Thursday Evening's 12/U 400M Freestyle events and 800M Freestyle Relays will warm up at 7:40 PM and start at 8:00 PM at Wesleyan University.  Scratch sheets for the 400M freestyle events and relays are due by 7:45 PM at the latest. 

Scratches for Thursday Evening's 1500M are due WEDNESDAY July 27, 8:00 PM.  The purpose of this early scratch solicitation is to allow us to plan Thursday’s timeline for the benefit of the swimmers in the second session.

• NOTE WELL: 12/U preliminary sessions will be held at Cheshire Community Pool on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings.  13/18 preliminary sessions will be held at Wesleyan University on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings.  Thursday Evening and all Final sessions will be held at Wesleyan University.

• Parking:  Parking at Wesleyan is available in the lot by the tennis courts.  Illegally parked cars will be ticketed and towed!

• Cheshire- Sun shelters or tents must be removed from the pool deck each day. There will be a storage area. Shelters or tents may be left on the grassy areas but will be used by the public in the afternoons.
• Relay-Only Swimmers- please confirm gender and age.
• Psych Sheets- corrections are due Tuesday July 26th, 9 PM.  Please review meet announcement for allowable corrections.  Please note: The Age Group Championship deadline for late initial qualifiers and corrections has been extended.  The deadline for both is now Tuesday July 26th, 9 PM.  Faxes (860.657.1167) and email (office@ctswim.org) only.  Thank you.

• The 800M/1500M and 12/U 400M freestyle events will be swum fastest to slowest, alternating girls and boys.

  Note to All Volunteers on Deck      Marshal Job Description     Job Descriptions  - will be posted in the near future.    
  Teams are reminded that workers are required to be present for the entire session. Please check the job reporting times list for the specific arrival and departure times. It is the responsibility of each team, not of the Meet Director, to find your workers. All workers should sign in at the office when arriving and leaving to ensure that your team is properly credited. Fines will be levied for no-shows, late arrivals and early departures. But we do not want your money! We need your people to be in place on time in order to run a quality championship for our swimmers. If jobs will be split, please make sure that the departing worker briefs the arriving worker on the requirements of the job. When timing assignments are split, both initial and replacement timers should attend the timers' meeting prior to the session. Thank you very much for your cooperation.

The Connecticut Long Course Age Group Championships will be held July 28-31. To provide a fair and equitable meet for all of our athletes, we will need a great deal of support from our officiating community. Again this year, we are faced with the additional challenge of providing adequate coverage for simultaneous preliminary sessions at two locations. The 11/12 preliminaries and 10/under timed finals will be held during morning sessions at the Cheshire Community pool. The 13-18 preliminaries and all finals sessions will be held at Wesleyan. If you are able to officiate at this meet please click on the link below, which will allow you to select the sessions where you are available to work.

To ensure that your volunteer efforts are credited towards your teams work assignments, you will need to register by July 20th. Requests to officiate that are received beyond that date will certainly be welcome, but there is no guarantee that it will lessen your teams additional work assignments.  Thank you in advance for your time and cooperation and I look forward to seeing everyone on deck that weekend. Note to all Volunteers fulfilling Work Assignments: 

We very much appreciate your help, which is critical to the success of our Championship. In order to maintain the appropriately dignified atmosphere for a meet of this type, we would like to remind all timers that, as impartial meet personnel, cheering for specific teams or swimmers should be kept to a reasonable level. We realize that enthusiastic parents want to support their kids, so this is not a “zero-tolerance” policy. But do keep in mind that too much noise and enthusiasm can be a distraction to other swimmers, officials and timers, so please use your best judgment while on the pool deck. Thank you for your understanding.
