Thursday Evening's warm-up for the 12/U 400
freestyle and 18/U relays will begin no earlier than 7:15pm. The 400s will
start 30 minutes after warm-ups begin. 1500 freestyle is a published.

Sessions

- N.B. Because of the changes to
Finals this year, all teams (including unattached athletes) with at least one
swimmer in Finals may be assigned at least one job. Please plan accordingly.
- Work Assignments and Job
Descriptions Thursday Evening work assignments begin
with Session II (12/U 400s and Relays). The time will be posted
Wednesday night.
Teams are reminded that workers are required to be present
for the entire session. Please check the job
reporting times (revised 7.22.03) list for the specific arrival and departure times. It
is the responsibility of each team, not of the Meet Director, to find your
workers. All workers should sign in at the office when arriving and
leaving to ensure that your team is properly credited. Fines will be
levied for no-shows, late arrivals and early departures. But we do not
want your money! We need your people to be in place on time in order to
run a quality championship for our swimmers. If jobs will be split, please
make sure that the departing worker briefs the arriving worker on the
requirements of the job. When timing assignments are split, both initial
and replacement timers should attend the timers' meeting prior to the
session. Thank you very much for your cooperation.

Message to Officials:It's that time, again, to volunteer several
days of your otherwise short summer and spend it in the topical paradise of
Wesleyan University's Aquatic Center. Seriously, this is my official
request for volunteers to official for LC State Championships July 24 through
July 27, 2003.
If you are interested in officiating and can commit to specific sessions you
should contact Barry Silver, Mr. Meet Director at
CTAgeGroup@aol.com. Your
email should include your name (not always evident from our email address),
certification, phone number and specific sessions to which you are committing
by
July 15,2003.
From this pool of officials, the Meet Referee shall select, schedule and
notify all meet officials of their assignments. Officials who make commitments
to work prior to the deadline will be counted in your club’s work assignment.
It may be necessary at the discretion of the Meet Director and Meet Referee to
limit the number of officials receiving team credit for working at Finals.
Some officials may be asked to act as timers or take other jobs as needed to
assure the successful running of the meet.
If you have any questions prior to July 11 you can contact me by email or
phone home 203-966-5175 or work 718-817-6868. However send your volunteer
email to Barry as I will not be to access my email until my return on July 21.

Meet Referee
Important safety
notice to all coaches and 12/U swimmers: one or more of the morning sessions
may run later than scheduled. Please do not plan for 12/U swimmers to
arrive early. Afternoon session swimmers may not enter the pool deck area
prior to the completion of the morning session relays. Swimmers may
wait in the lobby, in the spectator area, or outside the building. Any swimmer
who fails to cooperate with officials and safety marshals enforcing this rule
may be denied the right to compete by the Meet Referee.
