2012 ZONE TEAM
The 2012 Eastern Zone Short Course Swimming Championships will be held in Rochester, NY. The date and location for 2012 Eastern Zone Long Course Swimming Championships are to be determined by Eastern Zone. If you wish to be considered for the Zone Team Head Coach for SC Zone Team, we must have your application by January 17, 2012.
NOTE THE FOLLOWING SELECTION CONSIDERATION: Commitment to 2012 LC Zone is not requirement for 2012 SC Zone Head Coach position. However, Age Group Committee will give preference to a coach who commits to become 2012 SC and LC Head Coach at selection.
SC ZONE TEAM HEAD COACH REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Attend all Age Group Committee meetings in February 2012.
2. Attend all scheduled zone team practices.
3. Attend organizational meetings (as needed).
4. Prepare and submit the Zone Team meet entry.
5. Actively participate in meet coaching - ensuring all swimmers are ready and prepared to swim.
6. Select relay participants and set relay team order.
7. Monitor and supervise team at all times (ie: at the pool, hotel, bus, meals, etc) supporting coordinator and chaperone efforts.
8. Administer and adhere to all zone, age group and CSI policies.
SC AND LC ZONE TEAM HEAD COACH COMMITMENT:
Coaches who wish to commit to SC and LC Zone have additional requirement to attend all Age Group Committee meetings in May & June 2012.
SCHEDULE
2012 Short Course Meet Dates: March 29 – March 31, 2012 (departing March 28 early morning and returning April 1 late afternoon).
2012 Long Course Meet Dates: TBD but most likely be August 8-11, 2012 (departing August 7 early morning and returning August 12 late afternoon)
COMPENSATION
Head Coach will receive $100 per day plus room and board.
