2007 Short Course Zones

The Zone team will be returning on Sunday, April 1st.  We will leave the hotel following breakfast (approx 8:30 am).  We anticipate a mid to late afternoon return.  Your swimmer can contact you via cell phone on the bus on the way home to let you know our estimated time of arrival.  If your swimmer does not have a cell phone, we will share ours.  Also, you can contact Peter Boucher's cell phone (860-508-0188) and his message will indicate our ETA.

Congratulations to our 2007 Short Course Zone Coaches!  Roland Beneke from NWYL has been named the Head Coach.  Joining him are assistant coaches Dan Zeek from WEST, Mark Kinne from GLAS, Mike Ferraro from TP and Ken Pierson from HMST.  We have a great team of experienced coaches for our Zone Team this year, and we look forward to a great meet.  Good luck to all swimmers!  We look forward to seeing you at the Zone Table at Age Group Championships!

Zone Team Entry:  IMPORTANT: The Eastern Zone All-Star meet entry is posted. All protests should be emailed to Roland Beneke  rolandbeneke@hotmail.com or 413-977-1101 (cell) by 12 PM on Thursday,  March 15, 2007. If there is a protest, a challenge meeting will be held Wednesday March 21, 2006  at Wesleyan University pool at 6:00 PM at (Zone practice). Please contact Roland Beneke with any errors and omissions by email.   

Zone Team Practices:  Practices are scheduled for Wednesday, March 21st at Wesleyan University from 6:00-8:00 PM and Saturday, March 24th at Central Connecticut State University from 9:00-11:00 AM .   All swimmers and parents must attend one zone practice.  Please contact Roland Beneke at rolandbeneke@hotmail.com for any questions.

Zone Packet:  Please print, complete and bring to the 2007 Short Course Age Group Championships. Application deadline is Sunday March 11, 2007 at 8:00 PM.  Please bring applications to the zone table located in the Wesleyan Freeman Athletic Center lobby.
