2002 CT Zone Team Last Minute Reminders

It is almost time to go........ below is a list of last minute reminders:

Contact person for bus return time is Linda Wargo 860-663-4202 you can call her after 2:00PM we will not call her before then to let her know.
Directions to the pools have been posted.
Be at Bus spot 15 minutes earlier Than pick-up - Southington 6:30am, Danbury 7:30am
Make sure ALL of the Swimmers belongings are marked with their name
Make sure to bring a water bottle
ONLY 2 pieces of luggage (that includes your backpack) No oversized suitcases we have limited space with taking the drinks and snacks.
Medications are to bagged and written instructions in the bag.
If not going home on the bus give we must have a written note letting us know
If you have extra aqua blades (royal) bring them along incase you lose a suit

Zone Team Practice, Tuesday August 6th, will be from 8-9pm, lanes 1, 2 and 3 of the 50-meter pool at Erie Community College Pool.

PRACTICE POOL

Yale University July 31 & Aug 4, 2002

Practice pool is located on the third floor.

MERRITT PARKWAY

From New York: Exit 5*Turn RIGHT at end of ramp. At first light, turn LEFT onto Whalley. Go 3.1 miles. Turn LEFT onto York. Turn LEFT at first light. Parking is immediately on RIGHT.

From New London: Exit 59*Proceed as above.

INTERSTATE I- 95

From New York: Exit 47 (a left exit Take last exit off ramp (York Street) Turn RIGHT and go to 5th stop light. Turn LEFT; pool is at end of block. Parking is immediately on RIGHT.

From New London: Same as N.Y.

BUS STOPS

Southington Exit 28 off I 84

From the east: Exit onto 28 (it will be after exit 27 691) At end of ramp. Turn Rt. The computer lot is on your Left. Turn Left into lot.

From the West. Exit 28 at end of ramp turn Left, Go a little bit Commuter Lot will be on your Right, it is before the exit to get onto I 84

From 691: Exit 3 RT 10 Turn Right at end of ramp stay on 10 until you come to the intersection of 322. Turn left; continue about 1mile Commuter lot will be on your Right. It is before the exit to get onto I 84

Danbury

From I 84- Exit 3(towards RT 7 south) 1^st exit to Mall. At the end of ramp. Continue straight through light, stay to the right and pick up will be in the lower first section of the lot.

From Rt 7 Take Mall exit (Parker) at end of ramp turn left to light and then turn Rt into Mall entrance. stay to the right and pick up will be in the lower first section of the lot. stay to the right and pick up will be in the lower first section of the lot.

Erie Community College Aquatic Center

From the East:

Rt. 90 west to last exit. 290 south to RT 33 west Buffalo. Take RT 33 west to Oak Street. ECC Aquatic Center is located at corner of Oak Street and South Division Streets in Downtown Buffalo.

From the west/South

RT 90 East to RT 190 North (downtown Buffalo Exit) $.50 Toll. Rt. 190 to Elm Street exit. Ecc Aquatic Center is located at corner of Elm and South Division Streets in Downtown Buffalo

University at Buffalo Alumni Arena

If you are traveling west on the I-290 (Youngman Expressway) take exit 5A, Millersport Highway north. When you exit onto Millersport Highway, proceed through one traffic light, pass the Maple Road exit and continue to the next exit, Flint Road, to UB's North Campus.

If you are traveling east on the I-290 (Youngman Expressway) and wish to access UB's North Campus, be sure to exit onto the 990, which is just after the Niagara Falls Boulevard exit. Once on the 990, keep right and take Exit 1, the UB exit.
