Minutes

Present: Tim Quill, Pam Libertiny, Tim Wise

• Minutes for the October 6^th meeting were approved.
• Spring 2000 Connecitcut senior Championships were announced to be @ Wesleyan.

There are no conflicts in Wesleyan schedule and the pool will be available for both senior and age Group Championships.

• Sara Jalet Award criteria was discussed and set for approval at the December Meeting.

Criteria:

Senior in High School

Recommendation from Coach

Recommendation from 1 professional outside of school

Demonstrates Leadership in their community eg. Church, Job, Volunteer efforts

Brief personal statement

Copy of High School Transcript

Deadline for applicants was discussed and set for June 15^th

Award will be presented at Long Course Senior Championships

• Senior elite Training Camp Sites and Criteria was discussed.

Colorado was discussed as 1st choice. Seemed to be the most logical site for the Senior Elite Camp.

San Diego was also discussed and was voted 2nd choice

Criteria will be reviewed at December Meeting

Proposal will be finalized @ December Meeting

• Summer Senior Championship Dates (July 13-16) and set to be finalized @ December Meeting
• Senior Meet Description was discussed and finalized for approval at December Program Development Meeting.

Proposed Changes:

Housekeeping changes eg. Dates ,personnel, etc.

Thursday Start Time and addition of 800 Free Relay Timed Finals

Individual Entry limit: 3/day, 7 total for meet

Relay Entry Limit: 2 per team

Qualifying Times dropped for Relays

Relay Times must be pre-proven for entry purposes

Final 2 heats to swim at night

Mandating Proof of Time

Penalty for no Proof ($20.00 due at conclusion of prelims)

Scratch Deadlines: Thursdays events 5:15, 7:00pm for Friday’s events

Saturday and Sunday events prior to the previous days finals

Corrections: Same as Age group Format

Provisions:

Tiered Format

Elimination of Bonus Events

Heat Limitations

Warm up/Start Time adjustment (including prelim/finals)

Elimination of Time Trials
