When the meet is finished you need to provide participating teams with the results.
You may also need to send the results to your LSC to use in a LSC database for data keeping purposes, local records or USS Top 16 consideration.
USA Swimming have defined a standard data interchange file format for this purpose. These files are usually called "meetname".sd3 when made by the LSA Meet 6.5 program.
| Finish entering all the times &, relay names etc. into
your meet results file, then make an export sdif file. If a coach is in a rush to leave, you can make an interim file of just his team's results (without finishing entering all the information) by choosing only the specific teams initials, otherwise choose Export all teams In Meet 6.5's main panel, choose File|Export|Meet results file |
![]() |
| Type the information needed in all the text boxes, as shown
in this example. If you leave out any information the file may not be a valid USS SDIF v3 file and thus unusable in other vendors swim team programs. You can choose any or all of the teams when making the file by highlighting the names. When you have entered all the information click on the Export button to make the file. |

| If you choose to Export All teams the suggested file name will be the "meetname".sd3 | If you choose only one team's results to be exported the suggested file name will be "team"result.sd3 and our example below shows the file name: ajscresult.sd3 |
| The suggested file name will show in the pop-up Save As window. The file name must end
in .sd3 but you can change
the rest of the name. You can choose the folder and drive where the file will be saved, including the floppy drive. (Usually the floppy drive is the A: drive) The default folder is the meet folder on your hard drive, ie: c:\swim4\meets\"meetname". |

| You can give or mail this file on disk to any participating
teams or your LSC. Or, you can email this file or post it on your web site for download. |
We strongly suggest zipping the sd3 file
before you attach it to your email or post it on the web. Otherwise, the file may
sometimes be corrupted in transmission by an email program or web browser. Use WinZip or a similar program to "zip" the file. |
