Safety Issues for Clubs
Safety should be a primary concern for coaches, athletes and volunteers. Awareness is the first step toward a safer environment. USA Swimming provides a Safety/Loss Control Manual which we encourage you to read!
All clubs need to develop a Safety Action Plan for each of their facilities. You can look at a number of examples of Safety Action Plans courtesy of the University of Minnesota.

The funny thing about safety presentations is that they are not usually funny. Most people don't walk into a safety meeting expecting to be entertained.
But a
light-hearted approach to training doesn't mean you are presenting a
light-weight message. What it means is you went the extra mile to engage
your audience. Humor is just one way to get your athlete’s attention. Here
