Importance Notice to all Coaches
Using USA Swimming's OME

Coaches entering meets using the USA Swimming Online Meet Entry (OME) system should be aware that splits and observed meet results are not loaded automatically into the USA Swimming times database (SWIMS). Also, coaches should be aware that athletes' times may not load due to incorrect USA IDs and/or expired registrations.

Presently many zone and national meets will accept only times that are loaded into SWIMS. USA Swimming has confirmed that the meet referee has the right to deny an athlete the opportunity to swim if he/she is entered with an official time and that time missing from SWIMS. A completed OME entry does not guarantee the athlete will swim unless all the entry times are in SWIMS.

Since CSI has no system in place to manually type in thousands of splits, nor do we have the cooperation of the CIAC to supply meet results formatted with USA IDs, we must rely on coaches to notify the CSI National Times Officer or the CSI Office of an official time to be loaded into SWIMS for OME meet entry.

If a coach enters a time into OME that is unproven, then it is the coach's responsibility to immediately notify CSI's National Times Officer or the CSI Office and request the time be loaded into SWIMS.
