Athlete Representatives Lauren Solernou (Senior Representative) and Cooper Kearns (Junior Representative) are organizing this year's Junior Athlete elections. Our Athlete Representatives represent Connecticut swimmers at the LSC level and the national level. By becoming an athlete representative, you become part of the decision-making team. Junior Coach Representative

Every spring, the coaching ranks of Connecticut Swimming elect a Junior Coach Representative to serve a two-year term on the Connecticut Swimming Board of Directors. This position is shared with a the Senior Coach Represenative who was elected the previous year. The first year of the term involves attending meetings, learning about the operations and members that make up the CSI Board of Directors, and working with the Senior Coach Representative.  During the second year of the term, the Junior Coach Representative serves as Senior Coach Representative and a new Junior Coach Representative is elected. 

The responsibilities include: voting member of the CSI House of Delegates, the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, the Program Development Committee and the Meet Sponsorship Committee. The representative senior in term shall be a delegate of CSI to the annual USA Swimming National Convention. 

Specific Duties: 

1.  Responsible for collecting the CSI’s coaches concerns and opinions and advising the appropriate division and committee chairman and the CSI Board of Directors.  2. Responsible for conducting the election of a Coach Representative each year at the CSI SC Senior and State Championships. 3. Responsible for conducting the election of Senior and Age Group Coach of the Year at the CSI LC Senior and LC State Championships. 4. Responsible for conducting an annual CSI Coaches Clinic in cooperation with the CSI Board of Directors and Senior Committee..
