08.31.09 Age Group Update:  The relay records were mistakenly omitted from this posting.  The Aquabears broke the Boys 13/14 200 Medley Relay Resident and CT record with a 2:01.23 (Joe Hibbert, Michael Normoyle, Aaron Szczepanek, Justin Liu). The Panther Aquatic Club broke the Boys 17/18 CT record for the 400 free with a 3:42.42 (Eric Douglas, Tyler Hessler, Connor McTaggert, Tyler Ferraro). Congratulations!

1,036 CSI age group swimmers and 46 teams convened at Wesleyan University and Cheshire Community Pool for the annual Long Course Age Group Championship. Many athletes finished with best times notably Emily Barber, BRS, who broke the 17/18 CT record in the Girls 200M Breast with a 2:38.18. Congratulations Emily!

Tom Behn, SMST, was elected Age Group Coach of the Year. Tom has been a CSI coach since 1990 and has coached many athletes to CSI championships, Zones and Sectionals. Congratulations Tom!

Special thanks to Meet Directors, Chris Hug and Chris Wilson and to Meet Referees, Monica Prangley and King Lee. Our championship was a success due to these volunteers and the many, many others that "worked" the meet. Thank you to all volunteers!
