2007 Eastern Zone Age Group All-Star Meet

The 07 CT Zone Team, some 57 strong, bused up to Buffalo, NY for an exciting 3 days of competition. Competing against teams from Main to Northern Virginia, .the short course team was raring and ready to go. As cell phones numbers were quickly exchanged and new friends made and of course the mandatory question on the busses, "Mr. LaRocca, do you know who my roommate will be?" And of course I always answered with the same answer, "YES." After checking into the hotel, it was off to the competition pool for a team practice team, meeting and our first of many meals together. Who would have guessed that CT Zone Team would be setting many new records and over a hundred best times? 

On a combined basis, the 2007 short course zone team had 45% best time to swim ratio. 118/264 swims. We set 4 CT resident records. We had a 75% best time ratio in our relays 18/24 including the 11-12 girls exciting 1^st place 200 medley relay from the 6^th place seed. The following swimmers received medals and set resident records:
