Michaelson Breaks
American Record at
WYW AA Invitational
Poor weather and outdoors. Some would consider such conditions less than ideal for a swim meet but Sunday's rain and cold did not deter Ben Michaelson (SOCO). In fact, he set the short course (scm) U.S. American Record in the 100m butterfly during preliminaries at the Wilton Y Wahoo AA Invitational. Ben broke the record of 52.00, held by Nate Dusing of Texas, by splitting a 51.55 at the 100m mark of the 200m Butterfly. It was an exciting swim to watch and great preparation for Ben as he trains for the Nationals and the Pan American Games in August. Congratulations to Ben and Coach Tim Quill!
