Meeting of the
House of Delegates

The annual meeting of the House of Delegates was held May 18, 2004 at the High Plains Community Center in Orange, CT.  Steve Carroll, General Chair, convened the meeting, welcomed attendees and introduced the new Junior Athlete Representatives, Eryn Crane (SNCO) and Kayleigh Boucher (LEHY).

Special guests Nichole Abbati (BRS), Mary-Christine Beck (CDEV), Deb Gruen (HNHS), Jaclyn Lanzetti (BRS), Lauren Rosemen (SNCO) and CSI coach Joan Karpuk attended the meeting on behalf of Adapted Swimming.  Deb Gruen, speaking for the athletes, said that Connecticut Swimming has done a good job in preparing adapted athletes for competition at the national and international level. Five athletes attended USA Swimming National Disability Meet this past April. Joan Karpuk coaches many adapted athletes through the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain and is willing to answer questions clubs may have about adapted swimming. Through efforts of the Age Group Committee and Adapted Swimming Committee Chair, Ken Block, CSI has implemented an Adapted Swimming Policy and has established time standards for those athletes wishing to compete in CSI Championship meets.

House of Delegates  May 18, 2004  NOTICE

 

 

Connecticut Swimming's House of Delegates will meet Tuesday May 18th at the High Plains Community Center in Orange at 7:30 P.M. Elections of new officers, approval of the 2004-2005 budget, championship meet information, etc. are on the agenda. In addition to the usual business affairs, CSI adapted athletes will be making a special presentation. 

This is the opportunity for each club to make its voice heard and exercise its vote.  CSI Board of Directors would like each club to attend this important meeting.

 Everyone is welcome to attend including athletes!
