Regional Championships list has been revised 7.1.03
Please note the following changes to CSI long course championship swimming
meets. This list highlights some of the major changes to the
upcoming championship meets but is not all-inclusive.

Senior Open Championships:
Connecticut swimmers only: the bonus event procedure has changed (page 2).
At least one swimmer on each relay team must be entered in an individual event.
The correction policy has changed. Corrections will be accepted until July 7th. No improvements in seed time will be accepted (page 4).
The order of events has changed.
Regional Championships:
Three regional championships will be conducted; one at University of Connecticut and two at Wesleyan University.
CT Scratch Procedure (no-show) rule has been rescinded for Regional Championships.
There is no meet requirement in effect. Events must have been swum as of May 1, 2002.
Eligibility Clarification (page2): Swimmers may not compete in any event in which they have achieved a 2003 Long Course State Championships COT. "2003 Long Course State Championships" is the title of the meet and refers to COTs in all 3 courses LCM, SCM and SCY. Please note that 2003 Long Course State Championships and 2003 Short Course State Championships are 2 distinct meets with 2 different sets of time standards.
The order of events has changed: 11/12 200 odd stroke events and 10/U 400/500 freestyle have been added.
It is not expected that time will be available for breaks between events. Same age group events may be less than 15 minutes apart. Please select events carefully (page 4).
Wesleyan Lawn Policy is in effect.
State Championships:
One heat (top 8) will return in the evening for the Championship Final. Scoring will be for top 16.
The schedule for Thursday has changed. Read "Schedule" very carefully (page 2).
All clubs with at least one swimmer in finals will be required to provide at least one worker (page 5). This includes unattached athletes.
The order of events have changed: 11/12 200 odd stroke events and 10/U 400/500 freestyle have been added as timed final events. The fastest heat of the 11/12 odd stroke events will be swum at night.
The 13/14 and 15/18 400 events will be swum as timed finals with the fastest heat swum at night.
Scratch sheets for Thursday Evening's 1500M freestyle are due Wednesday July 22nd by 8pm. All other scratches are due during warm-ups (page 4).
Adapted time standards will be posted in the near future.
