Anthony
Robinson is currently featured on the USA Swimming's web site "Ask
the Superstar" feature. Anthony began his swimming career at the
Wilton Y Wahoos and swam with the Wahoos for approximately six years
before moving to Houston, TX as a twelve year old. He still holds many CSI
Records. Anthony is a World Championship team member
and is preparing for the World Championships, July22-29th in Japan. Of
special interest to the CSI community may be the following question asked
by Stephen of Stratford:
Question: I know you started your swimming career very young and you swam in Connecticut, but then moved away to Texas. Do you think you would have achieved the same success that you did if you had continued swimming in CT rather than moving to a "swimming power" state? -Stephen, Stratford, CT
Answer: That’s a great question, Stephen. I have always felt like swimming is one of the unique sports that if you
have a passion for it, and you really want to be the best,
you can do it. I have always loved swimming and loved to work at it, regardless of whether teammates were there to push me, or if there were fast people to race at meets. Competition is great to have, but it’s not always going to be there for you. As long as you have a pool and a coach, Connecticut is a perfect racing location. Go CT!
Connecticut Swimming sends best of luck to Anthony!
