Hi, this has been so
exciting. The pool that was built inside this very famous basketball
arena is incredible. The meet is staged with music and lighting that
makes the athletes real stars! There isn't a bad seat in the house and
the crowd is so enthusiastic. There are many swim clubs from around the
country that have brought there teams here to watch. It has been very
exciting, last night at finals the men's relay team just touched out
Australia for the gold and of course watching USA take home gold with
Aaron Piersol, Haley Cope, Brendon Hanson and Ian Crocker was awesome!
However watching Ben Michaelson compete was the most exciting thing for
me! He represents Connecticut well, and his presence here makes us all so
proud. I will try to send some pictures from tonight's races.
