The 2001 Long Course Senior Open Championship meet was held
this past weekend at the University of Connecticut. Over 300
swimmers participated in Connecticut's most competitive meet.
Record Breakers: Ben Michaelson, SOCO, broke the CT
Record in the 100M Fly with a time of 56.70 and the SOCO Men's 200M
Free Relay broke the CT and Resident record clocking a 1:39.05.

Senior
Coach of the Year, elected by his peers, was Sean Farrell, Head Coach of
the Cheshire Water Devils, who distinguished himself as well by
swimming two CDEV men's relays and anchoring a third.
